Brief Description
A lecture by T E Crosse entitled Reminiscences of Hawke's Bay in the Early Days and dated 12 November 1934.

Crosse writes of his family arriving in Napier in 1854 and their travels to Patangata and Porangahau where they eventually settled. Also describes an earthquake in 1862-63 and the development of the telegraph line from Wellington to Napier. Crosse was under 9 years old at the time.
