About this object
View of Iuahu house at Ruakituri in Hawke's Bay, taken on 13 November 1901. A note on the album page on which the photograph has been mounted identifies the house as the residence of Mr Mills. The house is of timber construction with a shingle roof. A chimney is located along the right hand side of the house.

A man and a woman, possibly Mr and Mrs Mills, pose for the photograph. They stand to the right of the house. The man rests his right hand on the reins of a dark horse. A vegetable garden has been planted in front of the house. A washing area is visible to the left of the house.

Photographer, Russell Duncan.
