Letter from Henry, G R to Major Gascoyne and dated 10 August 1922.
The author encloses a clipping from the: Star in regards to Gascoyne's writing of a history of the New Zealand Wars. The author writes that he has handed over notes to another person and has intentions of eventually writing a book on the Waikato campaigns. The author continues with a story recounted to him by a Major telling of one of his men in action during the campaign, the weather in the area, and that Lord Jellicoe had visited the previous week to stay with him.
