A letter of recommendation written for Violet Powley by Matron L M Croft.
States that Violet was an excellent worker while at the Napier Hospital from 1927 onwards, passing state examinations in 1930 and maternity examinations in 1931 after the earthquake. In 1933 she was made Sister-in-Charge of the Women's Ward at Napier Hospital.
