Book of nurses theatre notes written by Nurse Violet Powley when she was training to be a registered nurse at Napier Hospital.
Her handwritten notes cover such subjects tracheotomy set, theatre work, extra duties, drums, theatre gloves, the ligature trolley, operative routine, splints and ligatures and needles. There is a hand drawn diagram of an operating theatre amidst the notes.
There are no dates, however Violet trained between 1930 and 1938.
