Brief Description
Marriage Register from the Knox Presbyterian Church at Port Ahuriri. This Register records marriages between16 December 1865 and 14 December 1871.
Each entry records the date and place of marriage, names and surnames, age, rank or profession, condition eg. bachelor, spinster, widow, name of officiating minister or registrar and the date of registration. It also records the names of the two witnesses. Each entry is signed by the officiating minister or registrar after the delivery of a marriage certificate required under the Marriage Act, 1854.
