View of Cook's Cove, Gisborne, taken from a hill looking north east towards the entrance to the inlet. The Mitre Rocks are visible just beyond the entrance to the inlet. A note in the album in which this photograph is mounted states that it was taken on 30 October 1901, 132 years after Captain James Cook's visit to Tolaga Bay.
