About this object
Hand coloured photograph of the gardens at the McLean family residence on Napier Terrace, Napier.
The photograph has possibly been taken from the south east end of the gardens around 1936. The land slopes steeply away to the right. In the centre foreground, a path arcs through the gardens. The handrail on the right side of the path is crafted out of tree branches. There is a flight of steps at the end of the path. These stairs appear to lead to a driveway or road. A second path is visible further up the slope on the left side of the photograph.
Photographer, A B Hurst.
