About this object
A posed group studio portrait photograph of a group dated 1886. An older gentleman in a suit and top hat stands in the centre of the image. An older woman is seated to the right. A man dressed in a suit and cap is standing to the right of the seated woman. A young girl in a striped dress and hat stands in front of the man.

At the left of the image next to the central man in a top hat, a young woman is seated in a long dress and decorative hat holding a cane. An other woman stands near her at the extreme left of the image. Her dress has a bustle and she wears a flat brimmed hat.

Three people are seated in the foreground of the image. At the left a young man is dressed in a casual suit and boater hat. In the middle is a child dressed in a sailor suit. He is holding a framed scoop fishing net in front of him. Seated on the ground at the right is a young woman in a striped long dress wearing a decorated boater hat and gloves. She also holds a cane.
