Brief Description
Memorandums from the New Zealand Treasury to J A Louis Hay circa 1939 to 1940.

a) Undated memorandum outlining the agreement between F Thorp and J A Louis Hay and states the final amounts to be paid by Hay before title is handed over to him.

b) Memorandum regarding F Thorp's loan on the property and building and dated 29 September 1939.

Memorandum states that new mortgages will need to be drawn up at the lessee or lessor's expense and sets out the general conditions of the loaned and future repayments.

Signed by the Secretary to the Treasury.

c) Memorandum asking if the planned transfer of title is still to go ahead and dated 5 December 1939.

d) Memorandum outlining the agreement between F Thorp and J A Louis Hay and agreeing to extend the interest-free loan to Hay upon transfer of title and dated 8 March 1940.

e) Memorandum outlines instalments and discounts on repayments of earthquake loans and dated 1 April 1940.
