About this object
The Spit Volunteer Fire Brigade minute book begins September 1897 and finishes September 1911.

The book records the monthly meetings, finances, competitions and practices of the Brigade. It appears to be a book for jotting down notes rather than the official minute book as the dates are not in consequential order. Many of the pages have been crossed out.

There are also lists of honorary members, roll calls and monthly inspections.
