Brief Description
Duplication receipt books and notebook related to the Napier Citizens' Relief Committee Clothing Department. The receipts are mostly for cash payments for clothing and shoes. The receipt books were originally printed for Hawke's Bay Distributors Limited but have been reused as receipts for the Clothing Central Department of the Napier Earthquake Relief Committee.
a) Clothing Central. Dated between 14 - 18 February 1931. Receipt numbers 801 - 900. The information on the receipts includes: the receipt number, date, person charged, items purchased, total amount paid, method of payment, and signatories.
b) Clothing Central. Dated between 18 - 20 February 1931. Receipt numbers 801 - 900. The information on the receipts includes: the receipt number, date, person charged, items purchased, total amount paid, method of payment, and signatories.
c) Notebook. Title on the cover of the notebook reads: Packing Room Laundry. Hawke's Bay Steam Laundry. M Murrow H B Sha. The notebook contains handwritten lists of names, items of clothing and dates. Most of the entries have been crossed out.
