About this object
A photograph of the country house at Maraekakaho Station known as Doonside. This cottage was originally built for George Oliver but was used by Sir Donald McLean when he bought the land in 1857. The Cottage, built for Douglas Maclean around 1880, is possibly visible behind Doonside.
