About this object
A photograph of the Webb vicarage in Ormondville thought to have been taken between 1884 and 1885.
The single storey house is clad in weatherboard. The roof is made of corrugated iron. The photograph is said to have been taken after an addition had been made to the original house. A group stand outside the house in front of a timber fence. The man on horseback is identified on the back of the photograph as Reverend Anthony Spur Webb. The boy to his right is identified simply as a cousin that was adopted by Webb. The remaining members of the group are identified as: (from left to right) Anthony James Webb, Edmondson Webb, Alice F. Webb, Mary Robinson Webb, Maria Webb (née Paterson), Dora Webb, Edith Webb, and Annie Webb. The Ormondville Church of the Epiphany (consecrated in 1883, six months before the arrival of the first resident vicar Reverend. A S Webb) is visible in the background of the image.
