About this object
A half length studio portrait photograph of a man identified as Mr A Grant. Mr Grant is seated turned to his left with the right side of his face in view. He wears a moustache and a neckbeard.

It is noted on the back of the photograph that he was the first schoolmaster on Emerson Street. The photograph can be dated between 1872 and 1902.
