Brief Description
Seven Duplication Books of inwards and outwards goods, and a requisitions book, associated with the relief effort following the Hawke's Bay earthquake 3 February 1931. They were issued by the Napier Food Control Committee. The printed slips were originally for the Stephenson Trading Co Ltd, but the books have been acquired and reused by the Napier Food Control Committee.
a) Requisitions, authorisations and receipt of goods: 7 - 8 February 1931. Signatories include: L Stephenson, Food Controller; H E Edgley, Secretary Food Control Committee. Includes a request to the Police Department to authorise R Dockery to enter and remove goods from deserted premises for the purposes of the Food Committee, although not issued. Not to be used is written on the front cover.
b) Outwards Goods Book: 10 February - 10 April 1931. The majority of the goods are food.
c) Outwards Goods Book number 2: 10 February - 7 May 1931. The majority of the goods are food.
d) Inwards Goods Book: 2 - 7 February 1931. The majority of the goods are food.
e) Inwards Goods Book: 10 - 14 February 1931. The majority of the goods are food.
f) Inwards Goods Book Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 16 February - 2 March 1931. The majority of the goods are food.
g) Inwards Goods Book Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: 21 February - 2 March 1931. The majority of the goods are food.
