About this object
A half-length studio portrait of Rollo Brook De Lisle.

The photograph is of a young man dressed in a woollen waistcoat and jacket. He is wearing a striped white shirt and silk tie. A pocket handkerchief is visible in his left breast pocket. De Lisle was a relation of Dr Frederick De Lisle and family, a prominent Hawke’s Bay family.

Date unknown, no earlier than 1880 as the photograph was taken at the Bartlett Brothers’ Studio in Bendigo, Victoria.
