About this object
A studio portrait of Frederick De Lisle and his younger sister Elizabeth De Lisle taken in Guernsey in the 1860s or 1870s. The future Dr Frederick De Lisle is seated in a suit and waistcoat. Elizabeth De Lisle is standing at the left of the photograph with her hand on her brother’s shoulder. The edge of a fire surround or mantle is visible at the extreme left of the image on which rests a basket of flowers. It is noted that the photograph was taken when Frederick De Lisle was in the Navy.
