Brief Description
A letter written by Mary Bayly of Poraiti to Mrs Webb, dated 10 April 1900.
Mary Bayly writes to ask Patty Webb if Alice could stay with them for longer. She reports that she is looking much better and that May would be delighted to have her as a mate.
Mary writes: you will have heard from Alice how May was nearly drowned in one of the cold baths at Nuhaka and if it had not been for Alice being so brave and taking such presence of mind. We are so grateful to her as she almost risked her own life in saving our dear one.
