About this object
View of a house on Jull Street, Napier, possibly taken around 1908.
The single storey villa is of timber construction with a corrugated iron roof. A driveway leads up to the house on the left side of the image. Bundles of harvested hay are located in the front yard. A crop of corn can be seen behind the house.
A group of people pose for the photograph on the porch. The man seated at the centre of the group is thought to be Louis Edser. His wife, Charlotte Mary Edser, stands to his left. The child on the left side of the photograph has been identified as Vida Irene Edser. Vida is seated and holds a doll. The woman on the right side of the image is possibly Kate Mitchell (née Cross).
Photographer, Charles Sorrell.
