View of a house, thought to be located on Colenso Avenue, Napier.
The photograph has been taken from the base of a short hill looking up towards the house. The two storey house is of timber construction.
A group of four women and a young boy pose for the photograph in front of the house.
A note on the back of the photograph states that the house was built for J F Ludwig around 1900. The note possibly refers to Napier jeweller Joseph Frederick Ludwig.
The house is thought to have been occupied by Frederick Ansell Tiffen and his family from the mid 1920s until the 1970s.
