About this object
The photograph shows Hastings Street, Napier. The tram lines can still be seen in the middle of the road. The Barry Bros building (Finch & Westerholm, architects) is on the right. Next to it is Ringland Bros (Finch & Westerholm, architects) followed by Harstons Ltd, Music Shop (E A Williams, architect) and Ritchies (Finch & Westerholm, architects).
The Abbotts Buildings are on the left (J A Louis Hay & D B Frame, architects) followed by the Parker's Chambers (J A Louis Hay, architect) and Thorps and Hay buildings (J A Louis Hay, architect).
All the buildings are new having been built after the 3 February 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake.
