About this object
View of a home owned by Dr William Isaac Spencer on Lincoln Road, Napier, thought to have been taken in the 1860s or 1870s.

The photograph has been taken from a gravel pathway that runs along the front of the house. The house is of timber construction with a shingle roof. The front façade features three French doors sheltered by a verandah. A bay window is located at the far end of the façade.

The house is located on a hillside. Fenced pastures are visible in the background.
