View of the Study at the McLean family residence on Napier Terrace, Napier.

A fireplace is visible on the extreme left of the image. A framed reproduction of The Feast in the House of Levi, 1573, by Italian painter Paolo Veronese hangs above the fireplace.

There is a bookcase to the left of the fireplace. The room is also furnished with two upholstered chairs, tables, a desk, and a gramophone. The rear wall of the room is hung with framed pictures. Many of the pictures are caricatures. Two Māori portraits are also visible.
