About this object
View of the Saloon at the McLean family residence on Napier Terrace, Napier.

The photograph has been taken from the centre of the Saloon, possibly looking north. The room is amply furnished with chairs and tables of various designs. A desk is located on the far end of the room. The mirror on the wall above the desk appears to reflect the photographer's camera.

A small collection of weapons is displayed on the right wall of the room, which has been partly finished in timber panelling.

Potted plants grow around the room. The windows on the left side of the photograph face the gardens.

Photographer, Percy C Sorrell.
