About this object
View of the gardens at the McLean residence on Napier Terrace, Napier.

The photograph has been taken looking down a pathway towards a shallow round pool. The edge of the pool is lined with bricks. A pipe at the centre of the pool sprays jets of water up into the air. The garden around the pool is planted with irises. Beds containing roses are also visible.
Behind the pool, the pathway appears to lead to an area sheltered by a pergola.
