View of the Saloon at the McLean family residence on Napier Terrace, Napier.

The photograph has been taken from the centre of the room looking down the space. The room is amply furnished with chairs and tables of various designs. Bookcases are located along the far wall. Potted plants grow around the room. A small collection of weapons is displayed above a pair of doors that are located on the left side of the image.

The windows on the right side of the photograph look out over the gardens.

The photograph is thought to have been taken around 1930.
