A photograph of a naval procession in front of the Masonic Hotel, Herschell Street, circa 1920.
In the image a group of naval personnel holding bayoneted rifles are parading past Naval Officers and the deputy Mayor of Napier, Robert Goodger, who are taking the salute. Robert Goodger is lifting his top hat as a sign of respect.
A white ensign flag is attached to a free standing pole behind the officials standing in front of the hotel. The band rotunda is partially visible at the right of the image. There is a crowd of spectators standing along Herschell Street facing Marine Parade.
