About this object
A black and white photograph of Reardon and Wright Limited’s van decorated with balloons outside the Municipal Theatre on Tennyson Street during Napier Shop Week, 1924.
The two men standing in front of the van are Wright and his son Robert Bartlett Wright. They are wearing suits and oversized Stetson style hats. It is noted that the van was used to service the East Coast Railway construction and went as far north as Waikaremoana during the construction of the Hydro works there. There is a letter attached to the reverse side of the photograph.
Photographer, Warren Studios.
