About this object
Carte de visite of a cottage on Meeanee Road in Taradale, possibly taken in the late nineteenth or early twentieth century. A note on the back of the photograph identifies the owner of the cottage as the Reid family.

The cottage is of timber construction. The front façade features a centrally placed door with a single window on either side. A picket fence runs across the front of the property.

A group poses for the photograph in front of the house. The older woman on the left is possibly Mrs Bridget Reid.

Photographer, Charles Sorrell.
