About this object
View of Ghazi-U-Din-Nager house on Milton Road, Napier, thought to have been taken in 1902.

The photograph has been taken from an elevated position on the opposite side of Milton Road looking towards the front façade of the house. The façade of the house has been decorated for the Coronation of King Edward VII.

Bust portraits of King Edward and his wife Queen Alexandra are located in the central upstairs window. The remaining upstairs windows and the windows in the outbuilding to the left of the house have been decorated with banners featuring the letters ER. Lanterns have been hung from the veranda roofs. A string of flags stretch out from the central flag pole. Several British flags have also been hung on the façade of the house.
