About this object
View of a house on Shakespeare Road, Napier, possibly built around 1866. The house is thought to have belonged to local saddler Henry Richard Holder.

The photograph has been taken from Shakespeare Road looking towards the front façade of the building. Stairs lead up to the house on the left side of the photograph. The house is of timber construction. The right side of the façade is dominated by a bay window.
