About this object
A studio portrait photograph of an unidentified woman with the initials A H G M, taken in March 1882.
The woman is standing turned to her right. She is wearing an elaborately ruched dress which is possibly a wedding dress. She wears a small corsage near the upper left of her neck.

Ferns are visible at the left and right edges of the image.
Photographer, Lambert Weston and Son.
