Brief Description
Lithograph plan of Ngatapa Pā Poverty Bay, dated 1869. O L W Bousfield was the Staff Surveyor and J Buchanan drew the lithograph. Printed at the General Government Lithographic Press.
The plan shows Major Fraser's first position, his advanced position, Hotene with Ngatiporo's position, Major Roberts position, inside the pā, rifle pits, earth works, the church, Wickliff's position, Ropata with Ngatiporo, Colonel Whitmore's first attack, mortar and the battery.
