View of the Gaiety Theatre on Dickens Street, Napier, taken after the Hawke's Bay earthquake in February 1931. The photograph has been taken from the opposite side of Dickens Street looking towards the front façade of the building. Part of the façade has collapsed onto the street. A crushed car is visible amid the rubble. Advertisements for the film Common Clay appear on the front of the building.
