About this object
The photograph shows that the devastation caused to the Napier central business district by the 3 February Hawke's Bay earthquake has been cleaned up and new building begun.
The photograph looks across Hastings Street towards the corner of Tennyson Street. The construction on the corner of Hastings and Tennyson Streets is the Market Reserve building. The Public Trust building can be seen in the distance. Tram lines can be seen on Hastings Street.
