About this object
View of an exhibition hosted by the Napier Society of Arts and Crafts prior to the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake. The exhibition is thought to have been held in the Scinde Hall Sample Rooms, Napier.
Framed pictures are displayed alongside examples of the decorative and applied arts. The framed pictures that are displayed along the far wall of the room include three bust portraits and two landscapes. The items are displayed in two rows on tables covered with cloth that are located around the edges of the room. Further items are displayed on a central table.
