Three newspaper cuttings regarding Colonel Whitmore's East Coast Campaign of 1868 to 1869 against Pai Mārire forces led by Te Kooti.

a) Newspaper cutting dated 16 January 1869 titled: General Summary giving an overview of the East Coast Campaign and specifically the Siege of Ngatapa.

b) Newspaper cutting dated June 25 titled: Parliament Legislative Council providing a transcription of a speech by the Honourable Mr Mantell defending Colonel Whitmore's recent actions against Colonel McDonnell and giving an overview of the campaign against Te Kooti.

c) Newspaper cutting dated August 17 1869 titled: By a Volunteer giving a first hand account of the Taranaki Campaign against Titokowaru and a skirmish near the Patea River in March 1869.
