About this object
View of an exhibition hosted by the Napier Society of Arts and Crafts prior to the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake. The exhibition is thought to have been held in the Scinde Hall Sample Rooms, Napier.
Among the items on display are several framed pictures and an embroidered firescreen. Further examples of the decorative and applied arts are also visible. The items are displayed in two rows on tables covered with cloth that are located around the edges of the room. Through the door on the extreme right of the image, further displays can been seen.
Four chairs dominate the left foreground.
