Brief Description
Military documents regarding the cessation of Colonel Whitmore's command of New Zealand forces in anticipation of a new joint office being formed.
a) Note stating: W Fox will be obliged if Colonel Whitmore will call at his office at any time convenient to him by today. Attached to main document.
b) Document stating that the Office of Commander in Chief is to be discontinued, that the new position being formed by the Government and a salary of £600 per annum be offered and resign his seat in Parliament and refrain from any political activity.
