About this object
Postcard featuring a view of the Municipal Baths, Napier, taken in 1909.

The photograph has been taken from Bluff Hill looking east towards the Baths. Marine Parade is visible in the foreground. The Clive Flood Memorial stands at the intersection of Marine Parade and Bryon Street, which is located on the left side of the image. Marine Parade is lined with young Norfolk Island Pines. The bases of the trees are surrounded by timber tree guards.

Inside the pool complex, people can be seen sitting around the tiered seating that was located around the roofs of the building.

There is a note on the back of the postcard addressed to Mr Raymond Oxford, Melbourne. The postcard was sent from Napier and is postmarked 17 December 1909.
