About this object
Postcard featuring a view of Napier taken from Bluff Hill looking towards Awatoto, possibly in the 1920s. On the left of the image are the Swan Memorial Children's Paddling Pool (opened 1918) and the Municipal Baths (opened 1909). Marine Parade is located near the centre of the photograph. The esplanade is lined with Norfolk Island Pines. Among the structures that are visible along the inland side of Marine Parade are the Clive Flood Memorial and Dr Walter William Moore's Upoko Poito Private Hospital (built 1919).
