Brief Description
Letter from G S Cooper to George Whitmore, Napier, dated 7 September 1866. Cooper writes of receiving a letter from Whitmore regarding sheep which had been run off farmland and apparently butchered, that 200 of Whitmore's sheep are now in a Pai Mārire Pā near Titiokura, that a warrant cannot be issued for the arrest of any Pai Mārire suspects, and that the affair had been handed over to Native Officers.
