Brief Description
Letter from Donald McLean to George Whitmore of Napier, dated 13 October 1866. McLean writes that in order to avoid conflict with Taupo Māori he is ordering Whitmore to stop short of Waiporati near Te Haroto. However, should he be able to capture Paora Toki or Anaru Matete, McLean advises him to use his own discretion.
