About this object
View of the main entrance to the Municipal Baths, Marine Parade, Napier, thought to have been taken around the time that the baths opened in October 1909. Four men pose in front of the façade of the building. They are identified on the back of the photograph as: (left-right) W Ward (builder), J V B?, E A W, and C D K. 'J V B' possibly refers to John Vigor Brown, who was the Mayor of Napier at the time that the Baths were built. 'E A W' likely refers to the architect Ernest Arthur Williams, who was involved in designing the building.

Photographer, unknown.
