About this object
A photograph of the Peace Celebrations along Marine Parade, in July 1919. The image is taken from the curve in the street around Bluff Hill after Coote Road. The image depicts the view looking down the length of Marine Parade. Cars, motorcycles, horses and buggies line the Parade and the small rest area is visible at the left of the image.

The photograph is taken out of the hub of the celebrations looking toward people heading to the Central Business District. The Napier Municipal Swimming Baths are visible in the distance in the centre of the image.

A vehicle in the middle of the road in the distance appears to be laden with people and decorated with flags. As well as the tree trunk in the central foreground of the image the Norfolk Pines are visible along Marine Parade.
