About this object
View of the Napier Post Office on the corner of Hastings Street and Dickens Street, Napier, thought to have been taken in September 1932. The photograph has been taken from Hastings Street looking north. Designed by Government Architect, J T Mair, the post office building was completed in 1930.

To the left of the Post Office is the Caledonian Hotel. Further along Hastings Street other commercial premises are visible.

Napier Hill is visible in the distance.
