About this object
View of the Tarawera Hotel, Hawke's Bay, taken in September 1896. Taken down the road from the hotel, the front and one side of the building are visible. The wall nearest the camera is clad in corrugated iron. A lean-to is visible at the back of the building. A second structure is located beyond the hotel on the left side of the photograph. A group of people pose for the photograph in front of the hotel. Two horse drawn vehicles are also visible.
