About this object
Group portrait of a man, woman and child taken on 21 January 1898. A note in the album in which the photograph is mounted states that the photograph represents the Hurst Family at Ohinepango. Ohinepango possibly refers to the Ohinepango Stream in the Waikato. The family are seated on a large floor mat, or whāriki, in the shade of some trees.
