Deed of lease between Thomas Tanner and Francis Hicks, dated 29 October 1869, regarding land on the Heretaunga Plain.
Provides for a lease of nineteen years of one hundred and one acres. The first nine years rent annual rent is £50.10.0 and the remaining ten years was to be £75.15.0 payable in a single sum.
The deed continues that Thomas Tanner agreed with Frank Hicks that during the nineteen year lease, should Tanner become the purchaser of the land, then on the tender by Hicks of the sum of £505 Tanner will convey the freehold and inheritance of the land to Hicks.
